LPA School Leadership

At Lawrence Prentice Academy, we believe in empowering our students to take on leadership roles that help shape their personal development and foster responsibility. Our student leadership structure consists of two key components: the Student Council and the Student Prefects. Each plays a vital role in the school’s governance and student representation.

Meet Our Student Council

The Student Council is an elected body made up of representatives from each grade. This council serves as the voice of the student body, offering input on school activities, policies, and other matters that directly impact students. Members work closely with the school administration to organize events, promote positive initiatives, and build a stronger community. Being part of the Student Council teaches students the values of democracy, teamwork, and leadership, preparing them for future civic responsibilities.

Meet Our School Prefects

Student Prefects are selected based on their exemplary behavior, leadership qualities, and academic performance. Prefects take on more formal responsibilities, such as maintaining discipline, assisting teachers, and representing the school during important events. They serve as role models to other students, helping to ensure that the school’s values and standards are upheld daily. This role allows them to develop key leadership skills like problem-solving, time management, and communication, while also contributing to the overall well-being of the school community.
